Exploratories

There are so many incredible activities and opportunities here. How will you take advantage of them – without cutting into your study time?

It’s easier here than at most schools. We make it that way.

Giving you time to follow your passions.

Most “after-school” activities take place during school here. Yearbook, student newspaper, debate, Model United Nations and other co-curricular activities are part of your regular class day—as exploratory courses.

Your community service work always takes place on Wednesday afternoons. Major theater and sports dates are scheduled so they don’t conflict. And our theater and athletics directors work closely with teachers to make sure rehearsals and travel don’t conflict with tests or major projects.

Sonoma Academy encourages me to try new activities. I can always get support for that.”
